Andrew and Fergie were married for years, and even after they divorced, the two continued to have a very close relationship. In fact, up until a few months ago, the former Duke and Duchess of York were still living together at Royal Lodge. So, with the news that Andrew was arrested for suspicion of misconduct in public office and both he and Fergie appear in the Epstein files, people have been wondering what their relationship is like these days.
Well, if the reports from The Mirror are to be believed, it could go from bad to worse. The outlet quoted royal historian Marlene Koenig, who believes Ferguson has shown “no moral accountability” and instead “just keeps repeating the cycle over and over and over again – she’s never learned.”

“Sarah is guilty of immorality, lack of moral clarity, of grifting, of not being able to understand that you have to be personally responsible for your life,” Koening added. “And she has failed abysmally all that.” Which is why the outlet claims she’s getting close to the “ultimate betrayal” of Andrew and the royal family.
“The greed, the lack of moral clarity, lack of morals – neither [Sarah nor Andrew] have a backbone. It’s all about taking responsibility for your life, as opposed to wanting self gratification on many, many different levels.”
Reports indicate there have been attempts to sell a tell-all book, but according to the Sunday Express, “She ended up with a string of rejections and zero response in a few cases.” However, the experts who know Ferguson best don’t believe she will stop.
Andrew Lownie, who recently published a biography of Andrew and Fergie, said, “I suspect a publisher will commission it and I suspect for lots of money, and I suspect she will give a big sit-down interview and make lots of money. People won’t believe it, but they will still buy it,” he said.
However, Lownie did say Ferguson would do her best to keep her daughters out of it. “If she does anything to really upset them [British Royal Family], then the daughters will lose their Christmas invitation to Sandringham, possibly their titles, etc., and that’s how they’re making their money now. Every time [a member of the York family] go to Sandringham, their value in the Middle East goes up.”
Recent reports about Ferguson’s whereabouts indicated she was in the UAE for a time, then in several wellness retreats, and later staying with friend Priscilla Presley. But her location has not been confirmed, and she has not been seen in public since last December. The Daily Mail alleged that Fergie has been on a “secret sofa-surfing world tour”, staying with a “succession of discreet, wealthy friends.” But she’s been taking the scandal hard, with one friend saying she looks “dishevelled”, and “hasn’t been taking care of her roots or keeping up with her Botox.”
And it doesn’t seem to be just paranoia. A source told Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” Substack in March that Fergie has been purposefully laying low since Andrew’s arrest for a good reason. “She has gone into the fire,” the insider said. “This isn’t a holiday. It’s survival. She will be arrested next if she returns to the UK.” The source continued, “It’s only a matter of time — it’s inevitable.”
