Jeff Bezos & Lauren Sanchez ‘Actively’ Trying to Have a Baby as They’re Ready to Spend Millions for Her to Get Pregnant at 56
Both Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos already have kids from previous relationships, but after getting married in a lavish wedding in Venice in 2025, the couple is reportedly already looking forward. And that might mean expanding their family even more.
Sánchez recently raised eyebrows when she told The New York Times that kids are not off the table for her and Bezos. “I would have another one tomorrow. Tomorrow,” Sánchez said. “I would have a baby tomorrow.” And now Hollywood insider Rob Shuter is reporting that she really would. They both want to.

“This isn’t just talk,” one insider told Shuter. “They are actively looking at every possible path to make this happen.”
At the time of Sánchez’s comments, a spokesperson confirmed she wasn’t expecting a baby at this point, but Shuter reports that we might see it happen at some point in the future. Though, of course, the chances of that happening are a little more complicated, considering she is 56 years old.
“They can afford the best doctors in the world,” Shuter’s insiders said. “Private labs, experimental treatments — you name it.”
And though Shuter says the couple knows the odds, they are apparently still willing to try. “She’s determined,” the insider said. “If there’s a way, they’ll find it.”
“They’re speaking to specialists, funding research, and looking at options most people don’t even know exist,” the insider explained, explaining that this isn’t just about expanding their family. “This is emotional. They want to build something together — a family that’s theirs.”
Basically, not a certainty, but we shouldn’t count them out either. “For Jeff and Lauren, this is the next chapter,” the source said. “And they’re not letting anything stop them.”
Sánchez already has three kids: a son she shares with ex-boyfriend Tony Gonzales and a son and a daughter she shares with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell. Bezos, meanwhile, has four kids with ex-wife Mackenzie Scott, three sons and one daughter.
The former journalist had recently spoken very warmly about her children, particularly as she recounted the fact that both her kids and Bezos’ kids had a chance to give speeches during their wedding. Sánchez called it “the most meaningful and impactful moment” of her wedding day.
She said, “The biggest moment was with my kids. They all got to do speeches,” adding, “Jeff’s kids did speeches, my kids, and one of my kids, who is dyslexic — and he lets me talk about it — went up there and talked about a moment that was extremely important to him, and I had no idea what he was going to say.”
Per Extra, the couple even got emotional over the speeches. “All of our kids gave speeches, mine and Jeff’s, and they were all so meaningful,” she explained to the outlet.. “My daughter gave a speech during the ceremony, this was before we said our vows, and [I] started bawling. Like, I could not — I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh’ right before the pictures.”
Now, they might be making that family even bigger.
