Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets has passed away. The former reality star and professional buyer was found dead in his Arizona home on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. He was 67 years old.

“We are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars family, Darrell ‘The Gambler’ Sheets,” an A&E spokesperson said in a statement to People. “Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”

According to the Lake Havasu City Police Department, authorities responded to a call about a “reported deceased individual,” and they “located a male subject who suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.”

“The body was ultimately turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s office for further investigation,” the police said. “The male subject has been identified as Darrell Sheets, a 67-year-old resident of Lake Havasu City, and Darrell’s family has been notified.”

What was Darrell Sheets’ net worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Sheets’ net worth was $2 million at the time of his tragic death. He was an original cast member on the reality competition series Storage Wars, where he was known as “the Gambler” due to his high-risk bids on storage units.

Sheets secured several high-value items during the show, including a suitcase containing $17,000 worth of jewelry. He also won a bidding war for a locker that held paintings by Mexican artist Frank Gutierrez, collectively valued at around $300,000, making it one of the most expensive discoveries featured on the Storage Wars.

Who will inherit Darrell Sheets’ money?

While it hasn’t been confirmed who will inherit Sheets’ estate, it’s likely it will go to his son, Brandon, as well as his his grandchildren, Zoie, Addilyn, and Laiden. Brandon appeared on Storage Wars with his father, but according to LinkedIn, he now works in real estate in Arizona. He and his wife Melissa are parents to Addilyn and Laiden.

Sheets was close with Zoie, whose mom is his daughter, Tiffany Shane Sheets. Unlike her family, Tiffany has avoided the spotlight. Sheets also raised Zoie in her absence.

“Today will be Zoie’s mother Tiffany’s 38th birthday, too bad she’s not around to see what a great kid Zoie is turning out to be, like buying her own car at 16,” Sheets wrote on Facebook in 2020 alongside a photo of Zoie in her car. “Well, happy birthday wherever you are Tiffany Shane Sheets #storagewars.”
